Richard Twete

February 7, 1939 — March 27, 2019

Richard Marvin Twete, age 80, died peacefully at his home in Mandan, ND on March 27, 2019. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM on June 1, 2019 at the Wildrose Fire Hall in Wildrose, ND. A committal service will follow at Grace Cemetery.

Richard was born to Wendell and Lillian (Edal) Twete on February 7, 1939. He was raised and educated in Wildrose and graduated from Wildrose High School in 1957. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church.  In 1982, Richard married Loretta Silk. They later divorced but remained the best of friends until her death in 2016.

Richard is survived by two sisters, Dorothy (Duane) Fenster of Williston and Doris (Robert) Hedlund of Minot; one brother, Daniel (Linda) Twete of Eagle River, Alaska; one sister-in-law, Gloria (Darrell) Twete of Williston; his step-children: Chris (Janis) Boyer of Las Vegas, NV, Jeff (Elsie) Boyer of Flagstaff, AZ,   Danielle (Ardeen) Muller of Mandan, ND and Chance (Shelley) Halsey of Mobridge, SD; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren,  and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Lillian; sisters, Darlene and Delores; brothers, Darrell and David; and former wife, Loretta and granddaughter Brianna.

Arrangements conducted by Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan.
