Julie Klein

Julie (Bachmeier) Klein, 83, of Mandan, was brought home to rest by Jesus on May 21, 2021.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Josh Waltz as celebrant.

Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Julie Ann Bachmeier, was born April 7, 1938 in McIntosh, SD.  She was the oldest of three children born to Theobold and Gladys (Bergan) Bachmeier.  She married her high school sweetheart, Anton (Tony) Klein at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Selfridge, ND on October 12, 1957.

Julie’s greatest accomplishment was the thoughtful and loving manner in which she raised her six children and many more who found their way to her door.  This was done while working alongside her husband supporting the family as a small business owner and rural mail route carrier.  Julie’s cooking and baking were gifts she frequently shared with friends and family!  There was no such thing as a stranger in the Klein household, all were continually welcomed.  Other interests and hobbies included; oil painting, classical music, needle work, murder mysteries, word puzzles and game shows. Julie’s quick wit, sass, and humor brought her family much joy though her final days!

Julie is survived by her loving children;  Patrick (LaRissa), Bismarck,  Antoinette, Denver, CO,  Tracy (Joni), Mandan, DelRae (Todd), Bismarck,  Kerri (Sheldon), Williston;  grandchildren, Travis (Sara) Chelsea, Erik, Aubrie (Tyler), Spenser,  Taylor (Tristan),  Tannen (Jess),  Brant (Lynly), McKenzie, Elijah,  Stephanie (Tristan),  Shannarae (Gene);  her  19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Julie is preceded in death by her husband, Anton; her son, Shane; her parents, Theobold and Gladys; and two brothers, Gary and Mark.
