Teresa Seefeld

Teresa Seefeld, age 55, of Mandan, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2025, at Sanford Health in Bismarck.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, August 28, at the Church of Corpus Christi in Bismarck with Msgr. Patrick Schumacher celebrating.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, August 27, at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home in Mandan with a Parish Vigil at 7 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Teresa was born September 25, 1969, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Charles and Terry (Morris) Thompson. She was raised and attended school in Jamestown, graduating from JHS in 1988. Teresa furthered her education at the University of Mary and later earned her master’s degree and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from St. Catherine’s University.

On June 5, 1998, Teresa married Michael Seefeld, and they made their home in Mandan. They were blessed with two sons, Connor and Sean.

Teresa worked at Camp Grassick several summers during her college years. She began her career as an athletic trainer with the University of Mary and transitioned to working as a Physical Therapist in several health care facilities in Bismarck and Mandan.

Teresa was a big fan of the Minnesota Twins and Lynx. She followed her sons throughout their sports careers in high school and college. She loved tortilla chips with salsa and Hawaiian pizza. Her favorite color was red and her favorite flowers were roses and marigolds.

Teresa will be deeply missed by her husband of 27 years, Michael Seefeld; sons, Connor and Sean; siblings, Michael Thompson, Sarah (Bob) Wollitz, Stacy Thompson, Kevin Thompson, and Patrick Thompson; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Terry Thompson; her beloved dog, Maliki; several aunts and uncles; and her grandparents.
