Penny Remmick

Penny Remmick passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 72, in Parker, Colorado.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2026, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Penny and twin brother Perry were born in Watertown, SD on July 9, 1954 to Roger R. and Eunice (Pegg) Remmick. As a child, she and her family moved to several different communities as her father's work took them to various places. In the early 1960s, the family moved from Devils Lake to Bismarck, where Penny was raised. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1973.

Penny enlisted in the United States Army on February 16, 1979 and served in the medical field. Her military career took her to many places, including South Carolina, Texas, Hawaii, and Korea. She was honorably discharged in 1993 from Fort Carson, Colorado with a rank of E-6. Penny then made Parker, Colorado, her home, where she resided for the remainder of her life.

Following her military service, Penny attended trade school to learn carpentry. She worked in the carpentry field before eventually earning a position as a project manager.

Penny had many interests and enjoyed an adventurous life. She collected Bradford Exchange plates, which were proudly displayed throughout her home. She was an avid reader, particularly enjoying mystery novels. She also loved traveling by motorcycle and toured much of the United States, visiting many interesting places and landmarks along the way.

Penny is survived by her brother, Kenneth (Yvonne) Remmick; sisters, JoAnn Hoff and Brenda (Ed) Baumann; and sisters-in-law, Patty Remmick and Mary Remmick.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eunice and Roger Remmick; and brothers, Roger Jr. and twin brother Perry Remmick; brother-in-law Jay Hoff and niece April Hendrickson. Penny's family invites you to join them for lunch at Pizza Ranch in Bismarck at noon, following the graveside service
