Michael "Mike" Leintz

Michael A. Leintz, 79, of Raleigh, passed away January 10, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Flasher, ND with Rev. Dennis Schafer as celebrant.

A time of fellowship with the family will begin at 5:00 PM CST Friday, January 17, 2020 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan ND with a Rosary/Vigil at 7:00 PM CST.

On January 7, 1941 Michael “Mike” Leintz was born to Adam and Ella (Fergel) Leintz in Mandan, ND. Mike grew up on the family farm south of St. Gertrude’s. After graduating from McIntosh High School, he remained on the family farm to work alongside his parents.

On August 28, 1961 he married the love of his life, Sharon Zubrod.  They made their home on the family farm where they ranched.  A hard worker, he loved the farm and the outdoors.  He enjoyed four wheeling and fishing, especially catfishing.  Family was his pride and joy and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Mike will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Sharon; children, Shari (Jeff) Striegel, Michael (Beth) Leintz, Bonnie (Casey) Wells, Robert Leintz, and Jeffrey (Heidi) Leintz; grandchildren, Christopher (Christina), Samantha (Michael), Michael John, Jayme (Taylor), Heather (Tyler), Kyle (Alicia), Sara (Zach), Michelle (Addison), Cori, Alyssa, Nathaniel, and Cole; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou (Lynn) Bueling, Angie (Martin) Schaff, and Sharon (Duane) Schwab; and brother-in-law, Donald Werner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Ella Leintz; son, Ronnie Leintz; father and mother-in-law, Bernard and Dagny Zubrod; and sister-in-law, Carol Werner.
