Matthew "Matt" Usselman

Matthew “Matt” Usselman, 48, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 28, 2024 in Mandan. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mandan with Fr. Dustin Johns officiating. Burial will follow at Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, July 8th from 4-6 PM with a Parish Rosary/Vigil Service at 6 PM at Weigel Funeral Home in Mandan.

 Matt was born November 16, 1975, in Mandan. He has a great passion for music. He was always listening to music or watching his favorite television shows or movies. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially playing cards or games. He absolutely loved the 4th of July, shooting fireworks, celebrating with family and all the festivities around town. He enjoyed gardening and took pride in his small flower bed at his apartment. 

Above all, his faith was of upmost importance to him. He never took off his cross necklace and his family is comforted knowing he is now with his Lord and Savior in whom he believed in. 

Matt will be deeply missed by his mother JoAnn of Mandan, sister, Sarah (Eric) Weninger, Mandan, nephew, Tucker, uncles; Chris Usselman and Paul (Bonnie) Usselman, aunts; Peggy Hieb, Betty Baumiller, Donna Berger, & Becky (Tony) Roe and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Perius, grandparents; Clarence and Marion Perius and Anthony and Dwinia Usselman as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
