Mary Ann was born on October 11, 1940, to Christian and Marian (Vogel) Doll. She was raised on the family farm east of Flasher. She attended St. Peter and Paul Catholic School and went on to graduate from beauty school and shortly after opened her own salon, The Magic Mirror Beauty Salon, which she ran for 50 years out of the basement of her home after she married in 1967.
Mary Ann married Blaise Koch on June 15, 1967, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Flasher. They were married for 53 years. Mary Ann was active in many organizations through the years in Flasher and was a life-long member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was District 7 President for many years.
Mary Ann crocheted for many years and many people have eggs and ornaments from her. She also loved to bake, especially at Christmas. Her daughter really looked forward to getting a box of goodies (and so did her friends and co-workers)!
Mary Ann and Blaise raised two children, a daughter, Gail Marie, born March 30, 1968; and a son, Timothy Blaise, born September 29, 1970. Tim passed away June 3, 2011.
Mary Ann will be greatly missed by her husband, Blaise; daughter, Gail (boyfriend, Tom Wall); sisters, Leona Stegmiller and Veronica Olson; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
