Mary Ann Lachenmeier

Mary Ann Lachenmeier, 77, Mandan passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, at Miller Pointe Mandan. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 6 at Weigel Funeral Home of Mandan. Burial will follow at Mandan Union Cemetery. Followed by a luncheon at the Mandan Moose. Funeral visitation will be held on Monday, May 5 from 4 to 6PM at Weigel Funeral Home of Mandan.

Mary was born January 20, 1948, in Bismarck ND. She is one of six siblings born to John and Esther Marzolf. She made her home and life in Mandan ND. She started her working career at Liberty Heights, then moved on to Seven Seas Hotel of Mandan. Before retiring she worked for 20+ years at Prospera, A Good Samaritan Society care facility.

Mary enjoyed going to hockey games, playing cards, collecting gnomes, dancing, watching Hallmark movies, and spending time with her family. Upon entering Miller Pointe care facility, she enjoyed crafts, bingo, and spending time visiting with new friends and staff.

Mary is survived by her son Richard (Brenda) Lachenmeier, Mandan ND; Sonya (Tom) Kopp, Mandan ND; Kimberly (Darryl) Kopp, Mandan ND; and Deanna (Aaron) Rittenbach, Bismarck ND; her brothers Roy Marzolf, Mandan ND, Athneal (Darlene) Marzolf, Martinez GA; and one sister Roxanne Tanner, Clearwater, FL; seven grandchildren (Amanda, Brandi, Ethan, Zachary, Courtney, Garrett, and Tavis) and two great grandchildren (Chloe and Maci). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Esther Marzolf; one brother, Donald Marzolf; and one sister Darlene (Dolly) Jensen.

The family would like to thank all the residents and staff at Miller Pointe care center for their care and friendship during Mary’s stay there.
