Marvin Zander

Marvin Zander, 77, of Mandan, ND lost his battle with cancer on October 17, 2022 at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 22nd, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Mandan.  Burial will follow in Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, October 21st, at Weigel Funeral Home with a 7:00 PM Rosary and Prayer Service.

Marvin was born February 18, 1945 in Morton County, ND to Joseph & Beatrice (Schaff) Zander.  Marvin's most enjoyed hobby in life was playing his Accordian. He created the band "Marvin and the Moonlighters" and the band played together for many years.  Marvin touched many lives through his music, jokes, laughter, and love.  He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna;  four children, Steve (Jana) Zander, Sherry (Dan) Deede, Stacey Zander, & Shenel (Lynn) Hilzendeger;  ten grandchildren, Jesse (Jenny) Zander, Paige Zander, Shasta & Shawn Deede, Casey, Cole, Kensington, & Kerrigan Zander, Kerstin & Kayla Hilzendeger; and one great-grandchild, Jude Zander.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
