Mark K. Grove of Bismarck - Mandan, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, in Bismarck.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church in Mandan with a luncheon to follow immediately in the church basement. The family will greet guests one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Born on October 13, 1933, Mark was the son of Arnold and Mayme (Mark) Grove. Following high school, he proudly served in the United States Air Force. After his discharge, he returned to Mandan, where he began a long and respected career with the Amoco Refinery in 1955. He was among the first employees and retired as a supervisor in operations, contributing to a legacy of four generations connected to the refinery.
Mark had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and was especially fond of waterfowl hunting. He was a skilled dog trainer and competitor in field trials. A talented bowler, he was inducted into the Bismarck-Mandan Bowling Hall of Fame. Mark also enjoyed golf, woodworking, music, and playing guitar alongside his brothers. He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Mandan for many years.
Mark is remembered with love by his family and is survived by his children: Pam (Dean) Beckler, Robert (Cindy) Grove, Angie (Richard) Himmelspach, Wendy (Jeff) Veum, Mark (Marlis) Grove, Allison (Mike) Stabio as well as 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews: Greg Grove and Matthew Grove and step-sons: Kelly and Richard Belgarde.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and daughter Bonnie Jean.
Memorials in Mark’s name are suggested to benefit First Presbyterian Church in Mandan.
