Marge Feist

Margaret “Marge” Feist, 69, of Mandan, passed away December 8, 2019 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 PM.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Marge was born July 23, 1950 in Mandan the daughter of John P. and Nellie (Nagel) Hoffman.  She attended high school in Mandan and graduated with a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Mary.  She married Daniel J. Feist on May 18, 1973.  She spent many years working as an Accountant at Northern National Insurance Company and Basin Electric.

Family was everything to Marge.  She was the world’s best wife, mom, and grandma and embraced many others with her motherly influence throughout her life (including all the neighborhood dogs).  She especially treasured her time with her two grandchildren, reading, playing games, and sneaking cookies.  Reading and cross-stitching were two of her favorite pass times.  Marge also loved to bake, the results of which her family and friends benefited from greatly.

Marge’s fierce motherly love, generosity, witty sense of humor, and feistiness will be greatly missed by her husband, Daniel Feist, Mandan; son, Shawn (Rebekah) Feist, Midland, MI; two grandchildren, Anika and Kellan Feist, Midland, MI; sister, Jane (Dale) Voight, Stanwood, WA; brother, John P. (Tracy) Hoffman, St. Francis, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Doris (Martin) Erhardt; and brother, Michael (Jeanette) Hoffman.
