She was born July 22, 1940, to Isadore and Florina (Dame) Carrier in Bismarck, ND. She attended school at Huff, ND through the eighth grade and continued her education at Mandan High School. On July 24, 1957, she married Gordon Bopp and they raised their children Dion, Tammy, and Kyle on their farm south of New Salem. Lorraine was a devoted farm wife and worked alongside Gordon for many years. One special job was delivering meals out to the field during harvest, no one went hungry! She briefly worked at Farm Service Agency and for the State Tax Department.

Lorraine loved photography, calligraphy, making scrapbooks for all of her grandchildren, attending all sporting events, and was a huge supporter of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took great pride in her yard, her flowers, and keeping a tidy house. Lorraine and Gordon loved to travel, some of their most memorable trips were to Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, and various bus trips. Their favorite getaways were to the Black Hills or visiting the mountains. Beautiful memories were made, and many pictures were taken. Lorraine also loved dancing with Gordon, spending time at the zoo with family, and in later years going for long scenic drives.

Her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life, marriage and family. She was involved in Christian Mothers organization and taught Sunday School in her early years at St. Pius V Catholic Church. Lorraine was also part of the Homemakers Club.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of 68 years, Gordon; their son, Dion Bopp and his children, Anna Cook, Allison (Travis) Wahl, Matthew (Felicia) Bopp, and Abby Bopp; daughter, Tammy Bopp; and son, Kyle Bopp and his children, Jessica (Travis) Klatt, Kyle Jr. (Vanessa) Bopp, and Jennifer (Chris) Bopp; as well as 16 beloved great-grandchildren; siblings, Rich (Marilyn) Carrier and Dale (Pam) Carrier; in-laws, Roger (Candice) Bopp, Joan (Vern) Stayton, Garry (Dona) Bopp, and Larry (Yolanda) Bopp; and numerous special cousins, nieces, and nephews.
