Loretta was born May 24, 1929 in Flasher, ND to Ralphael and Anna (Fleck) Frank.  She attended Flasher Public School graduating from high school in 1947.  Loretta then attended Dickinson State College where she obtained a teaching certificate.  She taught in a country school near Flasher for a short time before her marriage to Irvin Sinclair on August 22, 1949 at Fallon, ND.  They made their home and started their family in Flasher.  Loretta returned to part-time teaching at Leigh School in Raleigh, ND.  In 1972, she became employed with Flasher Public School where she retired in 1991 following 27 years of working with children.  She loved the company of the kids and would often share memories of her teaching career with others.  She made many life-long friends working at these schools.  Loretta enjoyed gardening, she and Irvin planted a large garden every year.  She faithfully canned and pickled all the produce that wasn’t eaten fresh and would share that produce with friends and family.  Loretta also enjoyed bowling, which her and Irvin did as a weekly outing, and she participated in a ladies bowling league for many years.

Loretta and Irvin moved to Liberty Heights in Mandan in 2000.  She continued to be very social, meeting new friends while playing card games, bingo, and fellowship at the Liberty Heights Center.  Loretta also loved to travel, she and Irvin traveled to the west coast to reconnect with family and later she made a special trip to the Holy Land.  She felt very blessed by all the love shared with her by family and friends.

She is survived by three sons, Mark (Carol) Sinclair of Bismarck, Patrick (Jackie) Sinclair of Killdeer, and Paul Sinclair of Fridley, MN;  one daughter, Michele (Keith) Sayler of Wishek, ND;  10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild (with one on the way).

She was preceded in death by her husband Irvin in 2008, 1 brother (Tony Frank), 1 sister (Eileen Friesz), and a daughter-in-law (Patrice).
