Lillian "Lill" Janzer

Lillian “Lill” Janzer, 88, of Mandan, ND passed away August 2, 2024 at Edgewood Mandan. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 6th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan. Burial will follow in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday followed by a parish vigil service at Weigel Funeral Home.

A luncheon will be held at the Mandan Moose Lodge following the committal service.

Lillian was born May 30, 1936 in New Salem, ND to Alex & Anna (Markel) Ferderer. She married Leo Janzer in Center, ND in 1955. Together they raised four sons while living in Mandan. Lill was a stay-at-home mom for many years while raising her boys. She later spent many hours volunteering her time at the Moose Lodge and at St. Joseph Church. She loved to bake and go to “the garden”. Her and Leo were known to do everything together and enjoyed many trips in their retirement. Lillian was a devout Catholic and her grandchildren were the absolute love of her life.

She is survived by her sons, Tim Janzer of Bismarck, Tom (Marlene) Janzer of Mandan, Terry Janzer of Bismarck, & Troy (Susan) Janzer of Colorado Springs, CO; 6 grandchildren, Cinnamon, Mandi, Justin, Sarah, Michael, and Jessica; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband (Leo) in April 2023; 6 brothers and three sisters.
