Larry Bryon Suchy died on February 15th, 2018 in his home surrounded by family and friends. Larry was born on May 26th, 1940 in Bismarck, ND. His parents were Albert and Christine (Hartze) Suchy of Mandan, ND.
Larry was raised on a farm South of Mandan and graduated from Mandan High School in 1958. His siblings include an older sister, Sandy Shaw, and a younger brother, Keith. Larry was a talented farmer, mechanic, green smith, welder, and gardener. He loved all of his children which are Kelley (John) Olson, Kirk (Leigh) Suchy, Reed (Lida) Suchy, Dean (Marie) Suchy, Lee Suchy, Jamie (Dave) French, Clint (Susan) Suchy, Ryan Suchy, Carrie (Al) Christianson, Dan (Shyla) Suchy, and Jason (Kayla) Suchy. His grandchildren were also very special to him and include, Josh Olson, Jennifer Olson, Kirsten (Jeran) Thomson, Chase (Lindsey) Suchy, Holly Suchy, Keith (Carmen) Erickson, Nelse Erickson, Laura (Chris) Jaques, Jack Suchy, Claire Suchy, Grace Suchy, Anna French, Eli French, Samuel Suchy, Cecilia Suchy, Sophia Suchy, Carter Suchy, Lola Suchy, Stella Christianson, Iris Christianson, Waylon Christianson, Owen Suchy, Emmett Suchy, and Solomon Suchy. He was even blessed with Great Grandchildren who include, John Olson, Pierce Hackler, Yuriah Thomson, Isaiah Thomson, Nately Erickson, Bowman Erickson, Sylvia Jacques, William Jacques, Theodore Jacques, Judd Lee, and Gage Suchy.
Larry was a KC member, mentored Ministry on the Margins, and was a member of men's group, lectured, and a Eucharistic Minister all at St Anne's.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn, of 56 years. There were married on August 18th 1962. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents Christine and Albert Suchy, his in laws Vincent and Cecilia Kuntz, his brother in law Blaine Kuntz, sister in law Debra Suchy, and infant children Larry, Mara, and Charles Suchy.
His Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at Church of St. Anne at 9:30 am on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm and his life will be celebrated at a Rosary/Vigil service on Tuesday, February 20 at Weigel Funeral Home at 7:00 pm.
