Larry Becker

Larry Becker, 74, Mandan, passed away April 25, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Graveside services at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Larry was born June 4, 1949 to Elmore and Freda (Yetter) Becker. Larry was raised and educated in Carson, ND and shortly after graduation was drafted to the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. He became a very decorated veteran, including receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Upon his return from the war, he met Linda Gress, and together they had their daughter, Brandy Becker.

Throughout his life, he was a jack of all trades including; working on railroad, truck driving, bartending, rodeo, and the printing industry. He enjoyed many activities including; golfing, hunting, riding his Harley Davidson and spending time with family, friends and his service dog Chico.

Larry made friends wherever he went and will be fondly remembered for his infectious laugh and his handle-bar mustache.

He is survived by his daughter, Brandy Becker and her children Abby and Landyn; stepdaughters; Darbi, Darci, Natalie and step-grandchildren; Samantha, Zackery and Alexis; brothers; Gary Becker (Scott, Carrie, Kelly) and Murray Becker.
