Julia (Finck) Hill, 69, passed away June 10, 2026, in Albuquerque, NM. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service was held July 7th in Albuquerque. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 28 at Weigel Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mandan Union Cemetery.

Julia was born on October 16, 1956, in Mandan, North Dakota. She attended St. Joseph Grade School in Mandan and graduated from Mandan High School. Following high school, Julia married Richard (Ric) Anderst, and they had their only son, Jeremy Anderst (born 10/17/1975), of Denver, Colorado. If you knew Julia, you know that she was a tiny little thing and poor Julia was pregnant and in the hospital on her own birthday to deliver an almost 10 pound (God bless her) baby Jeremy. Julia spent most of her young adulthood playing softball. She was a great softball player and would show up most of the guys on the coed team she played for. Later in life, Julia moved to Boise, Idaho. She later attended Boise State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Following college, she began her career as a state auditor at Myers and Stauffer. She was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), where she provided consulting services to the state's Medicaid agency clients. Julia was extremely dedicated to her job and grew rapidly within Myers and Stauffer. Myers and Stauffer transferred Julia to Albuquerque, New Mexico to manage the Myers and Stauffer office. She had a long and successful career with Myers and Stauffer and just retired a few years back. When transferring to Albuquerque, New Mexico, Julia met Don Burgess and they married on 11/28/2014. Don’s family (Stacie Burgess and grandchildren Seth, Trenton, and Gia). Family and friends meant the world to Julia and she cherished everyone. If you ever spoke or interacted with Julia, she brought a smile to your face because she cared for everyone she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed and loved!

Julia is survived by her husband, Donald Burgess of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her son, Jeremy Anderst, and his wife, Lori, and her grandsons, Wyatt and Bryant, all residing in Denver, Colorado; Julia is also survived by brother Elmer Finck and his wife, LaVonne, of Hays, Kansas; sister Gladys Mahoney of Buffalo, New York; her sister-in-law, Gloria Finck, of Mesa, Arizona; Julia’s twin brother John Finck and his wife, Theresa, of Mandan, North Dakota; and brother Pete Finck and his wife, Nancy, of Mandan, North Dakota.

Julia was preceded in death by her brothers, Glenn Finck Jr. and John-Thomas Finck, and by her parents, Glenn and Monica Finck, of Mandan, North Dakota.
