Jonella Rae Neis

Jonella was born October 25, 1957 in Bismarck, ND to Larry and Leona (Kambeitz) Feist. When Jo was a young child, the Feist family moved from Napoleon to Edgeley where she met the love of her life, Jim Neis. They married on June 9, 1979 and lived in the Bismarck-Mandan area.

Jo received her RN degree from the University of Mary. She worked for Sanford for 43 years and worked at HIT, Inc. for 35 years. Jo retired from nursing on July 15, 2022. She loved spending time with family, camping, reading, going to country music concerts, playing cards, drinking diet coke, taking care of everyone around her, and spoiling her grandsons and granddogs.

Jo will be deeply missed by her husband Jim; twin sons, Jason and Justin (Anna); her daughters, Amanda (Darold) Schlichenmayer and Ashley (David) Dobier; three grandsons, William, Jayden, Winston, & a grandchild to be born in May; her mother, Leona;  her sisters, Jolinda (Doug), Joan (Tim), Julie (Kevin), Jacinta (Jon), & Joyce (Pat); her brothers, Lynn (Vickie) and Lee (Paulette); and many close family and friends.

Jo was preceded in death by her father (Larry), her brother (Larry Joe), & her father and mother-in-law (Walter and Dorothy).

The family is requesting that you wear purple in honor of Mama Jo (the name everyone knew her by), as this was her favorite color.
