John Brodersen, born to Hans and Kirsten Brodersen on April 27, 1950, in Copenhagen, Denmark, embarked on his final journey on November 9, 2023, in Bismarck, North Dakota. John's life was an extraordinary tapestry of love, adventure, and cherished moments, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

John's early years were colored by the loving presence of his parents, with family life taking him to both Canada and California. These formative experiences set the stage for a lifetime of travel and exploration, instilling in him a love for the world's beauty and diversity.

After completing his education, John graduated from Kenmare High School, where he forged lasting friendships and laid the groundwork for the many chapters of his life. His strong sense of duty led him to serve in the Army, stationed in Germany, a period of service that would further shape his character and his unwavering commitment to his principles.

John spent 40??? years of his life in Williston ND (... with his former spouse Christy Brodersen), where he devoted the best years of his life to hard work on the oil rigs to help raise a family of four boys. The oil patch was John's life where he worked with both family and longtime friends. When John's boys were old enough, they all got to work alongside their father on the oil rigs. John left a legacy on the oil patch and will always be known for his honesty, hard work, and integrity.

One of John's most enduring passions was his love for John Wayne movies, a love that he shared with countless friends and family members. The iconic actor's charisma, strong values, and embodiment of the quintessential American spirit resonated deeply with John, and he carried these ideals with him throughout his life.

John's love for the great outdoors was equally profound, and he found solace in fishing from his boat, often accompanied by cherished friends and family members. These moments on the water were a testament to his love for nature and his joy in the company of loved ones.

John's memory will forever be treasured by his three devoted brothers, Kim, Danny, and Keith, who shared countless adventures and formed an unbreakable bond with him over the years.

In addition to his brothers, John leaves behind four children, Monte, Hans, Jeremy, and Nicolas. His love and guidance have shaped their lives, and they will carry the legacy of his wisdom and love with them as they navigate life's challenges.

John's legacy extends to his 11 beloved grandchildren: Hans Jr, Andra, Katie, Sarah, Piper, Ian, Josie, Dylan, Norah, and Vera. He was a wellspring of wisdom, laughter, and boundless love, and his memory will continue to inspire and comfort them as they grow.

John Brodersen's life was a testament to the values of family, duty, adventure, and a profound love for the simple joys of life. He will be remembered for his kindness, his enduring love for John Wayne movies, and the unwavering bonds he shared with his family and friends. As we mourn his passing, we celebrate a well-lived life and find solace in the legacy of love and cherished memories he leaves behind. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of the world he loved so much.
