Joanna “Joey” House, 73, Mandan, passed away Sunday, April 21 at Miller Pointe Care Center in Mandan. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 25 from 10-11 AM with a Rosary and Time of sharing at 11 AM at Weigel Funeral Home in Mandan.
Joanna was born April 24, 1950, to Edward J. and Katherine (Markel) Bullinger in Mandan. She grew up in Mandan. She met Harold “Harry” House when they were just nine years old. They started dating when they were 14 and the two were married on June 1, 1971.
Joey ran a day care for some years along with helping Harry run Harry’s Lawn Care. She loved embroidery, fishing and hunting. Her favorite times were spent at family gatherings where she would often make her famous Sloppy Joes and chicken gizzards. Her and Harry often traveled to Deadwood, SD where she dearly loved.
She is survived by her husband, Harry, Mandan, sisters; Shirley Kuller, Gloria (Monte) Unterseher, Florence (Doug) Bauer, Edna Crowell, Brenda (Rick) Krideman and Kay (Scott) Way, brother, Edward (Kim) Bullinger and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Katherine, nephew, Dustin Bauer, niece, Cammie Unterseher and a brother-in-law, Bob Crowell.
