Jack Pulkrabek, 84, of Mandan, ND passed away June 10, 2026, at a Mandan care center.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, June 15th at Weigel Funeral Home with a 7 PM rosary/prayer service.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 16th at Christ the King Catholic Church in Mandan. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, south of Mandan.
Jack was born and raised on a farm south of Mandan where he went to a country school and later graduated from Mandan High School. He met the love of his life Marlene Kottsick and they were married in 1963. Together they spent 63 wonderful married years.
Jack farmed for 15 years and was awarded the Outstanding Young Farmer in 1972. Then upon moving to Mandan, he became a union boilermaker and laborer at several power plants for 35 years. Upon retiring, he enjoyed time with his family and special pet friend, Snoopy. Jack also spent many hours going to coffee with friends. He also enjoyed listening to country music, going to the Mandan Eagles for Saturday night music, and trips to Laughlin NV.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents George and Charlotte Pulkrabek, mother and father-in-law Charles and Eleanor Kottsick, son Jamie Pulkrabek, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, & aunts and uncles.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Marlene; daughter, Wendy (Jason) Eriksmoen; sons, John (Jamie), Robert, and Steve; grandchildren, Shandi Romans, Nickolis (Natalie), Alexis, Allie, Emmalee, & Bowdin Eriksmoen.; great grandchildren, Brycen Romans, Peyton Romans, Oakes Eriksmoen, and Finley Beiswenger; several in-laws and many special friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to an animal shelter of your choice in Jack's name.
