Frank Philip Leingang, born March 6, 1956, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 5, 2025. Though he spent time living throughout the United States, Frank’s roots were firmly in North Dakota, where he was born and raised.
Frank was known for his spunky attitude, sharp humor, and the way he refused to take anyone’s nonsense. He lived life boldly and unapologetically, bringing an unmistakable spark wherever he went.
For many years, Frank worked as an over-the-road CDL truck driver, traveling the country and gathering stories from every stop. In the later decades of his life, he transitioned into construction, where he continued to work hard, stay busy, and form meaningful connections.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Betty Leingang, and his brother, Roger. He is survived by his sister, Susan (Curtiss) Kovash; his children, Amanda (Richard) Schermerhorn, Gregg Leingang, Chris Leingang, and Frankie Leingang; along with many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who loved him deeply.
Honoring Frank’s wishes, no funeral or formal ceremony will be held. His family will remember him in their own ways and carry his spirit with them always.
