Elizabeth Schaff

Elizabeth (Betty) J. Schaff, 64, of Mandan, passed away March 12, 2019 at Sanford Health, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND with Rev. Pat Eustis officiating. Burial of the urn will be held at a later date.

Elizabeth was born to Pius and Shirley (Brown) Lipp, April 30, 1954, in Rapid City, SD.  She was raised and educated in Springfield and Rapid City, SD

On July 28, 1973, she married the love of her life, Joseph P. Schaff Jr., in Mandan, ND.  Always a strong-willed woman who wasn’t afraid to give her opinion. She was also one of the most loving women you’d ever meet, who had unconditional love for her family and friends.  She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a very good cook and loved baking with her grandchildren. She was always a social butterfly with a positive attitude and a smile on her face.

Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered as a firm mother and a push over grandmother who will be dearly missed by many!

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Joseph; her daughter, Jennifer Schaff (Fiancé, Keegan Rodgers) of Carlsbad, NM; her sons, Joseph III (Yasuyo) of Menifee, CA and John of Mandan, ND; grandchildren, Briana, Alyssa, Joseph T., and Payton Jo; sisters, Carol (Ron) DeWall of Bismarck, ND, Rhonda (Richard) Hatzenbuhler of Rapid City, SD, and Patty (Randy) Graner of Mandan, ND; brother, Wayne (Jayne) Lipp of Billings, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Pius and Shirley (Brown) Lipp.
