Eileen was born on May 5, 1931 to Ralph O. and Anna (Fleck) Frank in Flasher, ND where she was raised and educated.  After graduation in 1948, she became a school teacher in a one room school, Copenhagen #8 south of Fallon, ND.  While teaching she boarded with Victor and Minnie Schmidt who urged her to write to their friend, Paul while serving in the U.S. Army.  These letters led to them meeting and falling in love, they were married on October 23, 1951.

Eileen was a hard-working farm wife who had a green thumb and loved tending to her flowers and garden, playing cards and cribbage, solving crossword puzzles, sewing, crocheting, and embroidering dish towels.  A wonderful homemaker she was; she was known for her fresh baked buns, homemade apple bars and banana bread.  You didn’t dare leave her kitchen without taking goodies with you.  Her faith was strong and steadfast, this was displayed by praying the rosary and watching Mother Angelica and Mass daily. Family was her greatest pride and joy. She always enjoyed spending time with her grandkids; taking them to the park, attending their special events, teaching them how to sew and crochet, and teaching them how to cook and bake, passing on her favorite recipes.

Eileen will be deeply missed by her daughters, Rosalie (Jim) Feickert of Chandler, AZ and Jeannie (Courtney) Lind of Bismarck, ND; sons, Micheal (Della) Friesz of Bismarck, ND, Steven (Wanda) Friesz of Lincoln, ND, Ronald Friesz of Flasher, ND, Richard and his Fiancée, Tracey McAllister of Bismarck ND, and Robert (Renae) Friesz of Flasher, ND; sister, Loretta (Frank) Sinclair of Mandan, ND; sister-in-law, Mary Frank of Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Holly Friesz (Ed Ling), Jill Friesz (Dan Hunter), Jared Friesz, Nicole (John) Hinton, Brandon Friesz, Ryan Feickert, Taylor (Stephanie) Hill, Travis (Allie) Hill, Cody (Kristen) Friesz, Taite Friesz (Amber Reis), Ashley (Jake) Schafer, and Tiffany (Troy) Hoff; step grandchildren, Kent Siirtola, Rachel Johnson, Mandy Cobb, Demi Lind, Tyler Lind, Megan (Chris) Roehrich, Dylin Clooten, and Zac Brackenbury; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Hinton, Carly Hinton, Peter Hinton, Porter Friesz, Tambrie Friesz, and Ellie Hill; step great-grandchildren, Savannah Simpson, Lillyann Cobb, Becca Cobb, Grant Ehli, Ava Roth, and Theo Roehrich.
