Deborah (Deb) Napper

Deborah (Deb) Jo Napper, 71, passed away from complications of dementia on November 1, 2026, at Missouri Slope Living Center in Bismarck with her family by her side. Memorial service will be held Friday, November 6 at 11 AM at St. Georges church in Bismarck with Fr. Hal Weidman presiding. Lunch will be provided following church service. Burial will take place at 2:00 PM at Mandan Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends and family one hour prior to memorial service.

Deb was born on September 29, 1955, in Bismarck, ND, the youngest of Jack and Bertha (House) Napper. Deb graduated from Mandan High School in 1973. She continued her education at the University of North Dakota and the University of Pheonix where she earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She then went on to dedicate the next 40 years at the Youth Correctional Center serving as a case manager helping and guiding young women. She retired in 2017 at the age of 62. Deb was formerly married to Kevin Pierce, with whom she shared the joy of raising their boys. If you knew Deb, you knew that her boys were everything to her.

Deb enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren, boating, gardening, cooking, reading good books, playing games, but most of all spending time with her friends and family. Anybody that knew her knew that she was always the life of the party. Her laugh was contagious and will be greatly missed.

Deb is survived by her sons, Jesse (Chanda) and Cody (Amber); and her grandchildren Greyson, Averi, Sutton, Oaklin, and Miles Morrell.

Deb is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; sister Jackie Napper and brother Dennis Napper.
