Beverly Jane Miller was born July 20, 1943, to Engelbert and Katherine (Ruscheinsky) Miller in Carson, ND. The family moved to Mandan where Bev graduated from Mandan High School in 1961. On September 12, 1964, Bev married Gerald “Jerry” Ressler at Christ the King Catholic Church in Mandan. Bev worked at the North Dakota Department of Transportation and Norwest Bank in Mandan. In order to spend more time with her daughters, she began working as a housekeeper for families. Following this, she began her time as the head cook at Mary Stark Elementary School.
Bev loved spending time with friends and family. She was always happy to bake something special and put the coffee on. She was an amazing cook. Bev and Jerry looked forward to pinochle games and "Dice Club"' with their life-long friends. She was always up for a trip to the casino.
Bev's grand kids were everything to her. She would drop everything for them. Her most recent joy was welcoming her first great granddaughter, Hadleigh.
Bev is survived by her husband of nearly 61 years, Jerry Ressler; two daughters, Lisa (Julius) Brekhus and Lori (Scott) Wiese; 4 grandchildren, Shantell (Kyler) Melby, Shelby (Brody) Moum, Tristan Wiese, and Tucker (Bella) Wiese; great granddaughter, Hadleigh Melby; sisters-in-law, Karen (Joel) Morman and Charmaine Miller; nephews, Troy (Lana) Miller, Jason (Tammy) Trowbridge, and Jason (Shannon) Morman; and niece, Melissa (Travis) Hatzenbuhler.
