Beatrice Roehrich

Beatrice P. Roehrich, 88, Mandan, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Prospera Home in Mandan.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan. Burial of cremains will follow the service at the ND Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Rosary and Parish Vigil at 7 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.

Beatrice was born on October 7, 1936, in Zeeland, ND to Henry and Magdalena Schwind. She was one of 17 children. She went on to meet the love of her life, Floyd Roehrich, and they were married on April 3, 1959. Beatrice loved working in the school system in food service. She began working at Mandan Jr. High School in 1976 and remained there until retiring in 1998. She then went back to work at Lincoln Oaks Nurseries in 2000 before eventually retiring for good.

Beatrice loved flowers and had a green thumb for gardening. She also enjoyed nature where she would be found fishing or searching for seashells. She was a skilled crocheter and made many beautiful pieces over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Blessed to have shared in her life were her sons, Greg (Linda), Wenatchee, WA, Floyd (Lynn), Tempe, AZ, Perry, Mandan, ND, Rod (Barb), Mandan, ND, Paul (Cindy), Mandan, ND, and Tom (Shawn), West Fargo, ND; and 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Roehrich; parents, Henry and Magdalena Schwind; and 13 siblings.
