Arthur Zueger, 91, Mandan, passed away on April 16, 2024 at a Bismarck hospital.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30AM Friday, April 19, 2024, at Weigel Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date because Arthur graciously donated his body to science.
He was born September 19, 1932 in Bismarck, the son of Emil and Emilie Zueger. He met his wife, Marian (Karabensh), during 4-H events in their teen years. They were married May 7, 1953, at St. Joseph Church in Mandan, ND. They celebrated 70 years of marriage last May and were blessed with four children: Michael, Timothy, Ruthe, and Christine.
Arthur was a Korean War veteran and proudly worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad, with 42 years of service, as a locomotive engineer.
He enjoyed spending time at the ranch and feeding the wildlife, taking photos of moments important to him, traveling, taking his wife on cruises, and supporting his family in any way he could. He always had a story to share, much like his collections of "vintage" items posted on BisMan Online, which there was never a shortage.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Marian Zueger; his daughters, Ruthe (Mike) Keller and Christine Schirado; & his 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Emil, and his twin brother, Otto; and his two sons, Michael and Timothy.
The family invites you for lunch and fellowship upstairs at the Mandan Eagles Club following the service.
