Anthony R. Waliser, 66, Bismarck, passed away May 26, 2016 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Church of Ascension, Bismarck, ND with Msgr. Jim Braaten as celebrant. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the North Dakota National Guard and the Bismarck AMVETS Post #9.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Anthony was born on September 1, 1949 to Michael and Martina (Mosset) Waliser in Bismarck, ND. He was raised and educated in the Selfridge area graduating from Selfridge High School in 1967. He served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972 with the rank of Sargent and was a Vietnam Disabled Veteran. He was honorably discharged from USAF Reserve in 1974. Although he was disabled he attended college at Bismarck State and received his AAS in Agri-Business. Anthony worked for several places including farming, elevator worker, sales barn worker, construction, conservation aid and performance worker.

Anthony enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an active member in the AMVETS, American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Anthony will be deeply missed by sisters, Helen Holzer, Betty Waliser and Diane Waliser, all of Bismarck, ND, Patricia (John) Aldinger, Underwood, ND and Mary (Richard) Vollmuth, Hot Springs, SD; brothers, George, Bismarck, ND, Robert (Sandy), Selfridge, ND, Joe (Carol) Piedmont, SD, John (Gail) Lisbon, ND and Ronald (Jenny), New Salem, ND; sister-in-law, Diane Waliser, St. Mary’s, KS along with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ann (Joe) Hoon and an infant sister, Kathy; brothers, Jim and Mike and brother-in-law, Tony Holzer.
