Ann M. Fibiger, 94, Mandan, passed away August 3, 2017 at Sanford Care Center on Sunset in Mandan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Christ the King, Mandan, ND with Rev. Nick Schneider as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Ann was born on February 16, 1923 to Nick and Jenny (Vanderhyden) Hoffman in Glen Ullin, ND. She was raised and educated in that area. Ann married George Fibiger on October 1, 1940 in Glen Ullin. George passed away on March 30, 1992.
Ann was a talented seamstress and worked for the Annunciation Priory for 25 years. She enjoyed and was very talented at cross stitch and embroidery. Ann was a perfectionist when it came to her sewing and each seam and stitch was always perfect. After Ann’s many years at the care center she made many friends who in turn became part of her family.
Ann will be deeply missed by daughters, Sylvia (Larry) Giesinger, Bismarck, ND and Cindy (Ted) Wittcoff, Minnetonka, MN; sons, Edward, Bismarck, ND and Bill (Brenda), Mandan, ND; 15 grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; grandsons, Aaron Fibiger and William Fibiger; great-granddaughter, Kendra Lindfors; 13 brothers and sisters with Ann being the last one in her family.
