Alfred Bitz

Alfred Bitz, 81, of Tappen, ND, passed away October 16, 2019 at Sanford Health in Bismarck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Brandon Wolf as celebrant. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the church service.

Alfred was born on September 24, 1938 to Joseph and Margaret (Voller) Bitz in Logan County, ND.

Alfred will be deeply missed by his former wife, Mabel Cook; children, Terry (Raymond) Geffre, and Rosanne Erickson; stepson, Raymond Erickson; stepdaughter, Caroline Cook-Forsberg; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alvina Kluth.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Doris Bidwell; a daughter, Sherri Garr; a son, Andrew; sisters, Isabelle, Rose, Victoria, and Margaret; brothers, John, Adam, Joseph, and Leo; a grandson, Alan Palmer; and a great-granddaughter, Lilly Geffre
