Albert Two Bears

Albert R. Two Bears, 84, Tunweya gdihunni, passed on June 27, 2026, at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, ND.

Albert was born on June 7, 1942, to Albert Two Bears Sr. and Laura White Eagle/Two Bears. He resided in Cannon Ball, ND all of his life. Albert attended Cannon Ball Elementary School and Fort Yates High School, graduating in May 1961. Albert participated in and excelled at football, receiving the MVP award in his senior year. Following graduation, Albert enlisted in the North Dakota National Guard. Upon completing his military service, Albert worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe during construction seasons. Albert was also a rancher, a passion he continued for 60 years.

Albert had two children in his marriage to Evelyn Eagle – Don and Donna Two Bears. He later married Sharon McLaughlin in April 1966 and they had four children, Karol, Jaci, Allyson, and Mona who passed at birth.

Surviving Albert is his wife of 60 years, Sharon; daughters, Karol, Jaci, Allyson, and Donna; brother, Tony; adopted sons, Clancy Roberts and Fred and Bob Bennett; grandchildren, D.J. Two Bears, Cody Two Bears, JayeDawn Two Bears, Grace Kelly, Lindsey Two Bears, Skye Iron Road, Kade Iron Road, Zoey Wood, Dagon Wood; great grandchildren, Maize and Mika Two Bears and Nyal and Stoney Iron Road.

Albert was preceded in death by his father, Albert Two Bears Sr.; his mother, Laura Two Bears/Looking Horse; son, Don Two Bears; sisters, Alberta Condon, Irene Lawrence, and Gloria Fischer; brothers, Chuck, Bernie, and Basil (Ishta); brothers-in-law, Kenny, James (Buster), and Donnie McLaughlin; and many more relatives and ranch/rodeo friends.
