Laura L. Tokach, 62, Mandan, passed away June 5, 2017 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.
Services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral service.
Laura was born on October 25, 1954 to Arthur and Mickey (Brunelle) Tokach in Mandan, ND. She was raised and educated in Mandan, ND attending Mandan High School and going on to receive her BS in Horticulture. Laura loved plants and nature and enjoyed working at Cashman Nursery in Landscape Design. She also worked for Gurney's Seed Company. Laura struggled with Fibro Myalgia for many years which made it difficult to do the things she loved. Laura met Steve Barton and they knew instantly that they were meant to be together, Laura and Steve were engaged to be married at the time of her death. Laura loved animals and all wildlife, the color purple and classic rock and pop music. She was very close to her family and friends and they will miss her always.
Laura will be deeply missed by her fiancée, Steve Barton, Mandan, ND; mother, Mickey Tokach, Mandan, ND; sisters, Lynn (Steve) Boyle, Denver, CO and Lorraine (Jeff) Schwindt, Mandan, ND; brothers, David (Mary Kay), Mandan, ND, Pat (Sandra), Woodbury, MN, Joel (Dawn), Senger, ND and Daniel, Senger, ND along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Laura was preceded in death by her father, Art and grandparents.
