Magdelina Dillman

November 28, 1921 — September 19, 2014

Magdalena “Maudie” Dillman, Jamestown formerly of Selfridge, ND died peacefully on Sept. 19th, 2014 at the age of 92 at Ave Maria Village Nursing Home in Jamestown, ND.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home in Mandan. Burial will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 10:00 am at
St. Philomena’s Catholic Cemetery, Selfridge, ND.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from Noon to 1:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home. Mandan, ND.

Maudie was born on Nov 28, 1921 to Peter and Pepetua (Seigle) Landeis in Mandan, ND. Maudie lived on a farm 5 miles north of Selfridge, ND with her parents and 2 brothers Pete and Leo and 2 sisters Monica and Isabel. All now deceased.

She married Simon Dillman on Nov 25, 1941. They moved to a farm 5 miles southwest of Selfridge, ND and lived there until Oct 2000 when they moved to Mandan, ND. In
2007 they moved to Jamestown, ND to the Rock of Ages assisted living home because of health reasons. Simon died in 2008 and after Maudie broke her hip in 2012 she moved to Ave Maria Village nursing home in Jamestown.

Maudie will be fondly remembered for her love of cooking, playing cards, her laughing and so many times getting the giggles. Everyone loved her for her quick wit. At Ave Maria the staff called her Naughty Maudie she always had a witty comeback with a mischievous smile on her face. She always wanted to look nice and loved to wear bling in her later years.

Thank you to Rock of Ages and Ave Maria Village for all the loving care they gave her, they loved her too. A special thanks to Ken and Diane Dillman for always being there for her. She will be truly missed.

Maudie is survived by son, Jerome (Doreen) Salt Lake City,Utah; daughter,
Vonnie (Larry) Brockel, Bloomington, Mn and Pat (Dona ) Minneapolis, Mn;
5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Maudie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
