Ludwina Haull

November 10, 1920 — April 20, 2015

Ludwina “Alvina” Haull, 94, of Mandan died April 20, 2015 at St. Benedict Health System in Dickinson, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Nick Schneider as celebrant. Inurnment will be at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Ludwina was born on November 10, 1920 to John and Marianna (Geiger) Kuntz in Odense, ND. Ludwina was raised and educated in the Solen area. Her mother died when Ludwina was young. Ludwina did many of the house and farm chores including taking care of all her siblings. She later moved to Fargo and worked as a waitress. She met Jacob Braun, they were married on December 7, 1979, Jacob died in 1985. Ludwina moved to Mandan where she was active in her community she did a lot of volunteer work for Lutheran Social Services. She married John Haull on June 30, 2000 in Mandan. John died in 2014. Ludwina enjoyed her family and friends and always looked forward to holidays spent with them. She was an excellent seamstress and often made her own clothes along with her families clothing. She was a wonderful cook and specialized in German dishes.

Ludwina will be deeply missed by her nephews.

Ludwina was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Jacob and John; stepson, Don Braun; sister, Marion and brothers, Frank, Dominic, George, John and Mathias.
