Linda M. Haff, 67, Mandan, died November 12, 2014 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Msgr. Chad Gion as celebrant. Burial will be at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 5:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church on Monday.
Linda was born November 8, 1947 to Carl and Frieda (Moebius) Richter in Mandan, ND. She was raised and educated in Mandan, graduating from Mandan High School in1965. She attended Bismarck Junior College and received a degree in Applied Science and later continuing at BJC taking computer classes, accounting classes and Real Estate classes. Linda married Henry Haff on November, 28, 1969 in Mandan, Henry died in 2009.
Linda worked various jobs throughout her life including at age 15 she started at Ohm’s Ice Cream Store until she graduated from High School. Other jobs included several area banks, St. Alexius Hospital, Mandan City Auditor’s Office and Golden Age Services as a bookkeeper until she retired and went on to work part-time at Experience Works in 2013. Linda had been on kidney dialysis since April 2005. Linda looked forward to family gatherings and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and always had a beautiful flower garden every year.
Linda will be deeply missed by her sons, Kevin (Leigh), Jamie (Amanda) and Joshua (Jolinda) all of Mandan, ND; 6 grandchildren, Telsa, Britney, Tyler, Kyra, Kendra and Katlyn and 1 great-grandchild, Espen Christian; brother, Richard (Connie) Richter, Jamestown, ND; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted (Donna) Haff, Mandan, ND, Kenneth (Cindy) Haff, Mandan, ND, Wilene Haff, Mandan, ND, Dorothy Ulrich, Bismarck, ND Betty Ternes, Bismarck, ND Gardine Haff, Mandan, ND and Doris Haff, Mandan ND along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on April 7, 2009; parents, Carl and Frieda Richter; grandparents; mother and father-in-law, Carl and Lena Haff; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony (Karen) Haff, Peter Haff, John Haff, Carl Haff, Michael Haff, Mary Ann, Frank Ulrich, James Rhone, and Jim Zeller.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Tom & Frances Leech Kidney Dialysis Center in Bismarck, ND or the Outreach Program at Spirit of Life Catholic Church in Mandan, ND.
