Kelvin C. Kopp, 61, Mandan, passed away August 6, 2016 at Sanford Health Sunset Drive Continuing Care Center in Mandan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Spirit of Life, Mandan, ND with Msgr. Chad Gion as celebrant. Inurnment will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 3:00-7:00 pm at Spirit of Life, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 5:30 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Kelvin was born on February 4, 1955 to George and Florence (Boehm) Kopp in Mandan, ND. He was raised and educated in Mandan. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Zander on July 12, 1991 in Mandan.

Kelvin worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed Christmas and loved to decorate his yard each year. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, and making sausage. Kelvin enjoyed watching John Wayne movies. He also enjoyed listening to the steel guitar. His greatest pride was being with his family and grandchildren along with spending time with his friends. This special man will be dearly missed and will always be remembered for his loving devotion to family and friends.

Kelvin will be deeply missed by his mother, Florence, Mandan; daughter, Corrine Kopp (special friend, Ryan Gipp), Solen, ND; step-daughters, Vickie (Bill) Baker, Mandan, Vernetta (EJ) Iron Eyes, Ft. Yates, Valerie (Jimmy) Stroh, Mandan; step-son, Vernon Zander (special friend, Michele Wagner), Mandan; brothers, Kelly (Judy) Kopp, , Tom (Sonya) Kopp, , and Greg Kopp (special friend, Julie Geiger), , sisters, Cindy (Kelly) Nickel and Brenda (Doug) Peterson, all of Mandan; 10 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and three aunts, Karen Boehm, Agnes Kopp and Ilene (Boehm) Hammond.

Kelvin was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, (2008); father, George; and sister, Margo.
