Betty A. Wagy, 71, Mandan, died June 11, 2015 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Msgr. Chad Gion as celebrant. Burial will be at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Betty was born on June 11, 1944 to Henry and Ann (Block) Haider in Bismarck, ND. She was raised and educated in the Shields, ND area. She would help her Mother at the store and gas station in Shields when she was a young girl. She learned her work ethic in her younger years and carried it throughout her life. Betty moved to Colorado for 13 years before moving to Mandan. She married Arnold Wagy on June 11, 1982 in Mandan, ND. They always looked forward to winters in the Las Vegas area where she worked at various jobs including the Levi Factory and the Tom Chocolate Factory. In her later years Betty loved her animals, garden, and all her Knick knacks. "Betty never sat down; she was always up making sure everyone else was happy. She always put others before herself."

Betty will be deeply missed by her husband, Arnold, Mandan, ND; son, Bob (Rosella) Ternes, Denver, CO, daughter, Shelly (Mike) Ternes, Denver, CO, Daughter, Renae (Tim) Sailer, Underwood, ND; son, Clayton (Steph) Wagy, Seattle, WA, and son Ward Wagy, Mandan, ND; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Laura and brother, Bill Haider.
